One Brother One Sister is a program designed to assist First Responders and Veterans
First Responders face overwhelming adversity, stress and danger in their daily responsibilities which can take a toll on their physical, mental and emotional health. It is our goal to give them the education, resources and support they need to thrive in their lives as well as their careers.
Your support and contributions will enable us to provide skills and help First Responders and veterans at no cost throughout the country.
Yor generous donation will fund our mission.
One Brother One Sister is a National Non-Profit 501 (C) 3
The following courses are provided to the One Brother One Sister Program by the Addicted Communities Coalition, an education provider for NAADAC and The Florida Certification Board.

Addiction, mental health and trauma is statistically devastating to first responders/veterans and creates situations that can destroy community safety and trust. Given that in most cases, first responders work within closed, tight knit units, it is especially important that people within those units are trained to deal with issues of addiction, mental health, and trauma.
The Motivational Interventionist Training was designed to address at risk individuals in real life situations where there is an immediate need to intervene in someone’s behaviors. Our training is unique in its configuration that the focus of a successful Intervention relies on the ability to understand and connect with the person who is suffering. That connection, or rapport, can be built utilizing skills in the training from the first moment you speak to the one you are concerned with. This is critical since most opportunities to help people occur not over long periods of time, but in a single conversation.
Addicted Communities Coalition, Motivational Intervention Course is a 1-day training and has 6 CEUs through NAADAC and the Florida Certification Board. ACC also provides ongoing support to their
One Brother One Sister trained interventionists.
The course specifically addresses the following areas:
1. Education into addiction and treatment
2. Recognizing signs and symptomology
3. Understanding adaptable Interventions
4. Skills and Elements of Interventions
